Need Email Marketing Automation Alternatives, Any Suggestions? 🤔

help

Until now I was using Mailchimp for my product ruttl's email marketing automation. However, things have quickly gotten very expensive and now I'm in the market for another service.

I have tried researching on the internet and talking to people in my network. Turns out that people are either suggesting Mailchimp or Mailgun.

Can anyone suggest me any different alternatives apart from this list?
Would really appreciate quick help on this problem! 🙌

If you have had any personal experience with setting up email marketing for your own products as well, do share them in the comments down below! 👇

Thanks!

Affordable Email marketing at this stage can be

    • AWS SES to deliver emails at no cost
    • Use Sendy to send marketing campaigns by buying it one time and hosting it on one of your server (Or use Managed services)

Apart from that, We have built a Simple Email marketing solution on top of AWS SES only to give important features of Email marketing and using AWS SES for the delivery part. Product is in private beta. Let me know if you want to try it for free for a month. (All costs on us )

Thanks for offering the help @topsecret! I will speak to my team and see if that suits our requirement, will get back to you!

Let me know if we can use the private beta?
Also, wanna check the AWS SES, seems quite cheaper than the rest.

You might want to take a look at Encharge by @kaloyankulov and @slavivanov.

Here's a blog post from @kaloyankulov about what they offer in the email marketing automation space.

Thanks for your help @glenn! I will give it a try run surely!

      Thanks for the recommendation @Glenn.

While we are not the cheapest if you are just looking to send a bunch of emails, we more than make up for it with the marketing automation value that we provide.
@harshvijay let me know if you want to chat to figure out if we can work together.

@slavivanov seems quite interesting! Would love to discuss further, where can I reach out to you?

Great, shoot me an email to [email protected]

I use sendfox for my email marketing and just paid $245 for their tier5 with allows about 30,000 emails. I hope this helps

It's amazing how much companies are willing to pay to send emails.
I'd like to launch a low cost email solution for startups. Anyone interested?

      1. 2

Wow. You can save $175 using EmailOctopus.

      2. 1

Worked on the same lines and built this - https://email.grorapid.com/

        1. 1

Sounds good. I will give it a spin.

      3. 1

Yes please. I need transactional emails and separately lists with custom segmentation capabilities and a solid programmatic API.

      4. 1

sure as long as it cost efficient . let me know when you do as i am really interested in doing that

    2. 1

      Thanks for your thoughts!

AWS SES is the cheaper on i can think about . Its initial setup in AWS may not be user-friendly if you are not a developer.

    1. 1

I've got a developer on the team, will try to see if he can set this up. Thanks for the help!

  5. 1

Not strictly an email marketing tool, but you can have at look at PostSheet.com.

Looking for something more robust but thanks for mentioning it, @soheilpro! It's actually useful for my follow up mails!

I use Mailblast for Product Disrupt. It's super cheap at just $17 per month for 10k subscribers but it's a very barebones service.

If you can write your custom automation logic, it could be a very efficient solution.

I've been a partner with Constant Contact for years. They have a few different automated solutions. Give a shout if you'd like to speak further. [email protected]

@nutmegalfredo Thank you so much for offering the help! Me and my team will have a look this week and get back to you on the same.

For product emails (like onboarding flows), we use Autopilot and highly recommend it.

For transactional, we use Sendgrid, and it does the job nicely.

Thanks for sharing your ideas @harvellocapello! Will give it a research!

Try https://chasethatlead.com. If you like it I can set up a free account just for you.

Thanks for the comment @pratik_dani but turns out I'm looking for something more comprehensive and that would help me send transactional mails to users!

I use SendFox, you don't need to pay for all their tiers. It is really inexpensive when it is compared with the other alternatives. You can start for free.

    1. 1

Will give it a try thanks!

We use MailJet for transactional emails (receipts, confirmation, notifications) and MailerLite for general newsletters and email automation sequences.
So far these two are the best and most cost effective.
MailChimp is too costly and lacks UI. We haven't been able to set it up (we tried two times with different teams).

    1. 1

Yeah Mailchimp is somehow not suiting my needs too!
If you had to choose one between Mailerlite and mailjet, which would you pick?

  12. 1

That’s a tough ask you have there! The list is very comprehensive. I like Aweber, but it’s on that list.

    1. 2

Yeah :( But thanks for your opinion! I hadn't looked at Aweber in detail, will check it out now.

I work at Sendinblue and I can really recommend it. https://www.sendinblue.com/

FYI your homepage video is showing a Vimeo 'private video' login prompt for me.

    2. 1

      +1 for Sendinblue.

      1. 1

Thanks a lot guys! I will check out Sendinblue once!

    Have you tried Lemlist?

    1. 1

Not really, but I'll give it a look thanks!

Yeah email marketing is really big problem for me too though @Primer!
I will check out Emailoctopus once, saw a lot of people mentioning it.

      Thanks for the help mate!

Looks pricey too. Perhaps, they've built it off Amazon SES and take a margin.
I will look to design my own email SaaS service without them and therefore saving lots of money for the end users.

      +1 for EmailOctopus
