New Chicago IH Group Organizer - Feedback? Suggestions?
I recently took over as the organizer for the Chicago Indie Hacker Group (https://www.meetup.com/Chicago-Indie-Hackers/). Yay. I am really looking forward to starting this group back up again and help the community grow here in Chicago.
For those who have organized something similar, or attended your local IH group meetup in your respective cities, what has worked really well for your group? Any tips, feedback, suggestions?

Ever since Early Edition (series, 1996) I have Chicago on my list.
Now I am not planning it yet, but you asking for feedback triggered me in relation to my product. Once you run it, do you think ratemymeeting.co could help you understand how people felt about the event? It could make me consider extending my focus to events, sessions instead of just meetings... (sorry for the off-topic)
There is another group hosting a indiehackers thing in st. charles on feb 18th - perhaps link up with them? let me know when you set up the next event, I know a few people who may come.
