New domain valuation website

Hi domain investors, collectors and hobbyists!

I am working on a new website where people can post their domains and have others rate and value them for free, and I need beta testers.

    Congrats John! I had this very same idea 2 months ago when I found the domain name NameRate .com in auction

    1. I havent seen a post about it on Namepros? You'll get a lot of good feedback + potential traffic. Just be ready for brutally honest feedback (not as bad as reddit though)

    2. I see that you posted your domain URL and removed it?

    3. My humble opinion after spending time researching the idea, and being deep in the trenches of domain selling and buying - the price / valuation does not mean anything, except for one party only - the buyer. Focus on the ratings/ likes / dislikes instead

      I love the domain NameRate.com. If I had it I’d probably have used it too 😃

      1. I posted about it twice on Namepros this past week. Got no feedback at all. It’s possible I posted about it in the wrong place though. I’ll try again next week. I posted about it on Reddit too and got a lot of new users but little feedback. 🤷‍♂️

      2. I posted this shortly before I launched. I have since posted about it and included the name elsewhere.

      3. I have included three different rating signals - like/dislike, star rating (out of 5) and valuation. Each one offers a different viewpoint and interestingly enough they may even conflict.       4. There are many ways to monetise a data website. But for now my focus is on growing usage.

    Interesting concept.

    I will send you my list of 600+ domains. Pick and choose what you want to use for the valuation.

      Thanks for the interest! It’s a self service platform and I’d love to have you take a look if you have time. I can then suggest which domains might be good to list.

      Ultimately it’s about appraisals, but there’s certainly a promotional opportunity down the line as well.
