[New idea] Gigle: "the Google" for gig jobs

I just started working on this new idea and would love feedback 🙌🏻

Check out Gigle. (Tagline: "the Google" for gig jobs.)

The idea is to help freelancers find their next gig by compiling search results from all the top freelance job sites, e.g. Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, TaskRabbit, Toptal, FlexJobs, Fiverr, and more. Search once and be done ✅

I was amazed this doesn't exist yet, and that freelancers currently have to search across multiple sites and apps individually to find their next gig. This will hopefully make people's gig lives a lot easier.

    Hey,
    The idea sounds quite interesting!
Did you validate that the problem exists on the market? And if so, who could be your potential target segment? Maybe I'm wrong here, but when I search something on Upwork or Freelancer alone, it will overload me with freelance job proposals.
And did you think of starting with a smaller niche first, e.g. app designers, and then scale it to adjacent professions once you see product/market fit on your first niche?
    Good luck with your endeavors!

Thanks for the encouragement @lovin_it755! I'm actually doing the market validation now. Connecting with freelancer communities, learning about the pain points, etc. But you're right, it's overwhelming to see ALL of the results; I'm figuring out how to make that experience better and more valuable. As for a niche, not specifically just yet. But, I want to focus on new freelancers first as it looks like they are more likely to search the job sites. More experienced freelancers tend to rely on their existing client base or network more, it seems.

Makes sense! Then it's super-important to know your client's (freelancers') Customer Journey - how does it start?

The complexity here is that if i'm a new freelancer, it seems I'll google something very generic, which will result in a list of these giants first. Or I can ask my friends and colleagues, the chance is high that they'll refer me to the same list. Therefore, how can you ensure they find YOUR solution first before diving in the larger platforms?

Hey, I like the idea and I think that eventually, all of these gigs should go to one platform (winner takes all theory).
The only problem with this is that without any filtering, you just get get tons and tons of data alltogether... Are you planning to incorporate some search results filter or how is that supposed to work?

Yeah, I'm thinking of incrementally adding more ways to filter, but it'll be dependent (I think) on what each individual platform supports, i.e. what filters they offer for searches on their site.

It could be a bit tricky to figure out but that'll be part of the fun :)
