New Website - New Branding

I've been pretty quiet on here recently, so this is my first post in a while.

Last time I posted anything was about my new crash monitoring service CritiMon was closing down as it didn't work out and released it on a bit of a whim as initially wasn't planning on releasing it publicly and it didn't work out. I did say however though, this I wasn't giving up and I was going to go about it differently.

Part of the feedback I got was the branding was off. The branding followed my main site (https://boardiesitsolutions.com) which was red but I got feedback that this looked spammy/dangerous (not entirely sure why as I have seen other red websites) but decided to rebrand.

I've therefore, redesigned the main site (https://boardiesitsolutions.com). This is a little tricky site, as its not a company its just a place to show case what I've got, which currently isn't a huge amount but its a site where I can put things to show off what I've done.

I also took the time to learn something new. I decided to learn ReactJS as everything on the internet and new jobs (not that I've been looking) has been after React developers. So I took the time to learn it and really, really like it and think I will continue to use this from now on. Previously it was just bootstrap with Jquery/CSS/HTML instead of any framework.

I rebuilt the status manager for my main website as a way to learn react. You can find that at https://status.boardiesitsolutions.com, and this is my first ReactJS app.

Now the next steps.

I plan on starting the next version of crash monitoring - with a bit more planning this time instead of just jumping in. I also plan on having a development blog to show the progress and hopefully get feedback through the development process and, first things first, is to get a website up to get some users signed up for an interest for when its ready.

I've thought of a new name as some people didn't like the name CritiMon (it was a merge of Critical Monitoring) but thinking of using the name Crash Catch instead. What do you think of that as a name?

Once I have a sign up page ready and the first blog post, I'll be sure to let you know, but in the meantime, if you have any feedback regarding the new name of CritiMon - Crash Catch, and the new website then please let me know.
