No one on our team codes but we still 'made' it

When we first set out to create FlippedNormals, we knew we wanted a polished platform for artists to sell their training and resources.
WordPress was the first thing that came to mind, seeing as neither I nor my co-founder knew how to code. At that point, it was just the two of us.

I embarked on a lengthy research journey to figure out which plugins and themes were available.
We landed on Easy Digital Downloads and a theme called Marketify.
I spent the next two months wrestling with everything and painstakingly hacking my way through some custom CSS to get it looking like we wanted.
This was my first time looking at CSS, so I had no idea what I was doing.

For the more "custom" issues we had, the guys behind Marketify were very accommodating. Sending us PHP snippets that would help us achieve some of the things we were looking for.

I'm beyond impressed with the people who create products without ever touching a line of code. I don't know where we draw the line of 'No-Code' but I still consider myself in that category.
After almost 3 years, I've taught myself a tiny bit of HTML as well as a good deal of CSS. This has helped save thousands of dollars in smaller dev jobs, but all expanded features are still handled by experts.

You don't need to shy away from coding entirely, but it's also important to decide where your time is best spent.
One day I might try and pursue some type of coding for other projects, but for now, I'm content with editing a bit of CSS here and there.
