Been using this trick lately for to-dos. I have a master to-do list I work from every week, but other notes and pages where I sometimes make little ad hoc to-do lists. Now I can easily keep those in sync without having to bounce back and forth. 🎉
I hope Notion makes this workflow more accessible to it's wider user base.
For a feature this useful, It makes no sense that you have to go through this work around. Having it as a / option seems like a natural place to integrate it.
This is sweet! I'd love to think that it has been built this way by Notion on purpose, in order to facilitate future implementation of Global Blocks like "Symbols" or "Components" in sketch/Figma. We could potentially see Global components and variants later down the line. 😻
Someone somewhere made a Chrome extension that automatically handles the necessary URL modification when you copy the block link.
