One Good Thing: 400+ people discovered their good thing within 20 days of launch

Hey people,

So, about a few days back, I was struck with a thought—as the pandemic brings so much gloom and exhaustion, all of us are finding it extremely hard to handle the days. We feel less satiated, unproductive, and mentally tired.

That's when the concept of One Good Thing came to me. The idea is simple—to deal with helpless guilt and all the uncertainty, each of us can discover one positive, good thing to do for the day.

How did I built it?

I wanted this to be a public tool, as the best part is only when all of us are able to share our little joys, good things, which can inspire many others around.

I used Glide to set up the app, with a small surprise element—you get to shuffle and discover a good thing, every time you open the app. Also, you can mark some good things as favorites, so you can repeat them whenever you feel like.

How to use?

1. Open the app - https://onegoodthing.glideapp.io/

2. Create a profile [email address is not saved, it's only to help you set up your profile]

3. Use the 'Discover' button to shuffle through the good things prompts.

4. Try the activity you see on the screen. Now, if you liked it, mark it as a favorite, to later revisit it [this is where having a profile helps]

5. Got a good thing that worked for you? Use the + button to add yours.

6. Tap on the card to share your goodwill with others on Twitter. :)
