Open-sourced Cookie - a free & complete landing website template

While building the landing website for Soopr, I wanted to make the website very fast and use markdown to power additional supporting pages and blog posts.

Having previously built my own blog website in Jekyll, I had some experience with it. I also wanted to use Tailwind CSS to make it easy to work with CSS.

From this context, I decided to use static websites for my landing website and build Cookie (https://cookie-demo.netlify.app/).

Features:

  • Well-designed landing page
  • Responsive and mobile-friendly
  • Additional pages like about us, terms of service & privacy policy
  • Integrated blog, write content in markdown format
  • Easy to customize using Tailwind CSS
  • Fast and performant website
  • SEO optimized
  • RSS feed
  • Easy to deploy, one-click deploy on Netlify possible
  • Soopr integrated - easy to customize share & like buttons, URL shortening, and website analytics

Soopr (https://www.soopr.co) uses Cookie as its base.

If you are like me and love Jekyll and Tailwind CSS and don't want to spend building static websites, again and again, do give Cookie a try. More documentation is available here - https://github.com/abhinavs/cookie
