Payment System for EBay-Like Marketplace

Hey all,

I’m developing a market place where users can list/sell and buy a certain product. I’m planning on taking 2% from the seller. I think stripe will be an easy integration, but I’m not sure how this will work with PayPal. For example, will I get paid by the buyer, take my 2%, then pay the seller?

Or is there an easy way to charge the buyer my cut at the same time that the seller gets paid? I need to be able to hold funds like an escrow until a shipping tracker is confirmed, so the seller cannot directly invoice the buyer and then pay me.

Also, will I have to pay PayPal fees on my 2% , if I end up going with the first option (invoicing the buyer, then paying the seller)?
