Please Roast Our New Landing Page

Hello wonderful hackers,

I'm here once again asking for some feedback for our newly developed landing page. The main premise of our application is to create an engaging and friendly environment where all the experienced Mentors can share their expertise on a subject through innovative and user-friendly tools. Instead of just uploading meaningless one-way videos, we actively strive to encourage interactivity between the users and the people they look up (Mentors), so the learning experience is maximized for the Mentees. Since we are still pre-launch we would appreciate it if you could provide us with some feedback. Also if you find our idea interesting, you can now download the app both on IOS and Android.

You can find our landing page here https://troosh.app/

Thank you for your time !

Best,

Hi Dimitris. +1 to everything orliesaurus said.

I didn't get what your app does and why I would need it. What problem does it solve?
You probably should make it #1.

The screenshots are great. You just need to explain what they do and how they solve the problem.

Not sure about the name. Troosh -> Trash. A bit too close for comfort.

"Mentor" is OK, but "Mentee"? Sounds very legaleese. Since I don't understand what your product does I can't suggest an alternative.

The animation started breaking down with the screen going over the text and completely covering it. Play with different window sizes and scroll up/down.

How much typing is involved in using the app?
I question if not having a desktop interface is a drawback.
Why does it have to be an app?

Too much white space while the useful info is in a tiny font.

"What if my mentor is bad?" -> "what is I don't connect with my mentor" or something more polite. Maybe get a native English speaker to help you with the phrasing.

The signup form at the bottom doesn't look like a sign up form.

How are you going to reach your target market?
You are building a market place. Do you have at least one side of it guaranteed somehow?

If the above was of value I'd appreciate your feedback on the UX of stackmuncher.com.
The search functionality there is very confusing and I need external input to get unstuck. @orliesaurus, you gave me some very good feedback before. Can you take another look? I know you charge for it, so no pressure :)

    1. In the header you say "skills" and "effort"

But what skills can you get? I guess your answer is "anything" so I wonder if you should instead talk about the issue that a user is facing for example - "Do you fail at sticking to a plan?" or "A new way to keep you accountable" ?

Similarly "effort" is a little bit vague to me, you're not really introducing anything
You also mention the fact there's a mentor, who is (s)he? You find me the mentor or do I need to bring one?

Then you talk about projects...wait a minute, what's a project? Who defines them? My mentor?

The animation 10/10 - that's smart! However after a couple scrolls it becomes repetitive, can you make it do something else? I am just scrolling down at this point not even caring anymore about reading the copy because my instinct is to figure out if the animation changes at the bottom of the page...
