Hey Podcasters!

I'm creating this free podcast hosting startup and it would be amazing if you guys could check it out and give me feedback on what you feel is missing or if you would use this hosting at all. All honest feedback is appreciated

Looking forward to hearing from you!

I would work on the landing page, in 2020 having a good looking site is a must.

If you don't have a good landing page how can i trust you to have good software.

Doesn't anchor basically do what you;re doing?
How will you fund it until you get the ad platform up?

      Hey volkandkaya!

I just updated the landing page. Hope it looks better by now :)

      Answering the questions:

1- Yes. We are still trying to figure out how have a better product than theirs. I heard a few stories - which I can't tell with 100% certainty if they are true - that they only allow podcasts to monetize up to 50$ - and then they cease the ad - and they have a pretty rough intellectual property clause that all the content they record on Anchor is Anchor's property. We will have pretty much all features anchor has, but without these locks that they put.

2- I plan to show this to investors and raise a round on a VC fund. But I gotta show some traction, right?

Congrats Ramon! I'm curious, have you estimated the costs so you know how much advertising income you'll need? I love the idea, there's a reason why so many people use Anchor. It's nice to have a low barrier to entry.

Hope everything works out for you! I just added it to my CasterKit podcasting tool directory, so hopefully that helps a little.

      Hey schoon!

Thanks for the help! It means a lot to me.

I still haven't got a full-blown business plan, but from what we have simulated a few times on our side, this could be a high margin business for us and a great deal for our clients.

Do podcasts need a landing page? There's so many landing page builders.
Are podcasters just doing podcasts? or are they making a podcast as part of a business, or other project?

      Hey AndrewKamphey!

From what I researched, content creators use Wordpress as a website/landing page for their podcasts. We hope to supplement that need and have a kind of Podcast page - which we named as Landing Page, but we have plans for it to be much more than that.

Podcasters oftentimes do this as a hobby - which is one of our targets - and sometimes do this as a part of a business. Our greater idea is to actually make it easier for these podcasts to have infrastructure, while helping them consolidate their brands. Many of these podcasts have a great audience and have trouble monetizing - either because it requires a lot of time from the content creator or they don't have the means to that. What we want is to offload all this difficulty and help them monetize too. It is for the future, but we will get there!

In short, we want to be like Twitch, that gave several gamer channels a chance to monetize and grow a brand, but we gotta start somewhere, right?

      Thanks for your questions!

      Cheers!
