Poll: Do you do usability testing before or after you ship something new?

If you never do usability testing It would be great to also explain why :)

I am on a mission to make user testing more accessible to makers and small teams and this insight would be very useful!

When do you do usability testing?
  1. Before I ship (while building and iterating)
  2. After I ship
  3. Never

I don’t but I absolutely need to. Your usability test on my site was so helpful last time :)

I've never done it before, but I definitely want to try it when I start working on my next product.

What stopped me in the past: It is scary, really scary!

    1. You have to show other people what you are doing, and
    2. You get instant feedback.

There's no safety barrier of a screen between the two of you.

That said, I now recognize that these are also its biggest strengths. That's why I'm committed to trying it in the future.
