I really like tools that can be useful to a user without the need to register, preserving anonymity. They seem to be a rarity today in our personal data-driven world.
Does your app fall into this bracket? If so, I'm interested in featuring you.
Cheers!
Hi I'm doing app for paper book sharing. One of the functions there is book recommendation. You take a photo of your bookshelf. App recognise all your books by bookspines and give you recommendation what to read next based on your reading taste. This function does not require registration. However the app has other functions: wishlist, sharing, etc which require registration.
Mine is zero-register, https://tsdj.io
Make a playlist in 20 seconds with friends, and listen on YouTube.
Just had a look! Like that it takes 20s. But I must admit that I was bit confused by the tetris looking screen. It looked clue but wasn't sure exactly what to do / what I had to do.
thanks for the feedback. yeah, I was thinking right before the countdown to say something like "get ready, click what you like.". Also, maybe adding a running total of songs added by everyone in the session.
Yeah I think those points would definitely help!
added! thanks again.
I put a registration-free option in my app, auToDo, specifically for this reason of privacy. There is a signup option for users that want their data to be stored on auToDo's servers rather than their personal device, but there's no requirement to give your data up :)
Looks cool! Looking forward to seeing it when its out of Beta
I’ve made Yourganize free to use offline, so if a user doesn’t want to share their info they don’t have to. You’d have to sign in to save your data online though, which is the paid version. I guess with any login you’d usually use an email address for this because it’s unique, and for support queries as a point of contact. https://getyourganize.com
Very fun and quirky interface. Well done.
Hi there, I’m in the midst of creating https://flashcards.io/ which does not require registration nor an internet connection for that matter.
Let me know what you think!
Looks cool! I'm guessing data is saved in local storage at browser level? My only feedback is that the tutorial on desktop is a bit odd and fiddly. I guess because it expects you to use gestures as opposed to a mouse. Maybe adapt it for desktop?
Yeah exactly, and then when they signup for an account their data is synced across their devices using CouchDB.
That’s great feedback thanks, will add that to the roadmap. Lots of opportunities with the onboarding flow.
My product, www.SpaceFrigates.com has no registration system at all.
I do plan to add an account system eventually that players can optionally create an account to track their stats between sessions, save customizable content and such.
But guests will always have an option to play with out a registration.
I'm building a budget app where you don't need to register. I'm also building some proper user account system at the moment for the app but it will be optional, you could still use the app without any account if you want to.
I like for the user to have a say on how their data is handled, I always valued privacy personally.
