Remember The Million Dollar Homepage? I've been working on a new version of that project... in 3D. Anyone want to have one of the first ads?

You can catch a glimpse of the brand and world on the official twitter account: https://twitter.com/milldollarmetro. It's essentially a web-optimized 3D city that works on any browser and any device, and runs quite smoothly and loads fast.

Right now the MVP of the project is done, and I need advertisers. So far the 3 companies that have ads are: Carrd.co, Asteroid.zone, and Userbase.com.

I want to give the first 50 advertisers 50% off to help jump start the project. The smallest ad you can buy is $250 USD, so $125 after the discount.

If you're interested in this, please message below and I'll give you access to the site. You can explore the look and feel of the world on your browser, where you can submit your image/description and you can preview exactly what your ad will look like in the world. If you're happy with what you see, then you can purchase the ad with the discount.

Thanks, and let me know if you have any questions!

Here's some more info:

Million Dollar Metropolis is inspired by the original (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Million_Dollar_Homepage) Million Dollar Homepage from 2005. To cover his university expenses, a student sold one million pixels on an image for one dollar each. Fifteen years later, this project attempts to replicate the success of the original in a creative new way by bringing the concept into 3D with a futuristic city environment.

Advertising on the web has become increasingly privacy-invading and annoying. At the same time, people enjoy advertising if it's done in an appropriate and attractive environment, such as Times Square in New York, or fictional environments like Blade Runner. The goal of this project is to create a novel and stimulating environment for advertisers and an audience. The ads here don't track you, spy on you, or know anything about you for that matter.

Very cool! I had the exact same idea a few years ago and even created a business plan for it, but eventually didn't pursue.
