Sales... is it sleazy? Or essential?

  1. 4

I'd say that a conscious sale is essential. To make a sale conscious, you should understand the profile of a customer you're selling to. This means understanding what they are trying to get done in their life that your product helps with and understanding their culture. As a brand, you've probably thought about things like 'top three values,' and the cultural fit is achieved when you target prospects with a similar value model. Once you're there, a sale becomes an active pursuit to help those people solve the problems they have: make the world a better place for them. There's nothing sleazy about it.

Your customers are either going to buy from you or from your shitty competitors.

It's up to you to save them from the headache that is buying from your competitors because YOU KNOW your product provides them more value.

It's just a matter of saving them from making a bad decision (buying from the shitty competitor) and persuading them to choose you.

100000% essential. All of life is sales. Shame it has such a bad reputation.

Sales can be both sleazy and essential, depending on how it's done.

On one hand, sales can be viewed as sleazy when it involves using manipulative or deceptive tactics to persuade people to buy something they don't really need or want. This kind of sales approach can erode trust and damage relationships, leading to negative perceptions of sales as a profession.

On the other hand, sales can also be viewed as essential when it involves helping people find solutions to their problems and meeting their needs and desires through honest and transparent communication. This kind of sales approach focuses on building relationships and delivering value, which can result in long-term customer loyalty and positive perceptions of sales as a profession.

In reality, sales is a necessary and important function in any business. Without sales, businesses would not be able to generate revenue and sustain themselves. However, it's important for sales professionals to approach their work with integrity, honesty, and transparency, and to focus on building relationships and delivering value to customers. By doing so, sales can be viewed as an essential and valuable profession that helps people solve problems and achieve their goals.

Sales will become more and more essential. There is a need in expert who serves and deliver the result. Especially with advanced products.

Outbound is getting tougher. I've personally crashed my goal and dominate 50 other guys in my sales department with this Ukrainian startup https://snov.io?_get=leads

At the end of the day it's a numbers game. More personal emails, more calls, more zoom. You can't seat on your butt and wait customers flush into your website. Ads are working worse every day. Collect emails - it's a goldmine . Have a conversation with empathy. After this it will be closed or not. You can't push people to do what they don't want to do.

I also suggest use Chris Voss methods. Works like a clockwork

It can be sleazy, essential or not. If you trick people into buying what they don't need that's sleazy. For some products, it's essential like a B2B that's very price and will have. a long lead time before the deal is closed, and then sometimes it's not essential since you will never recover the effort, ie B2C doesn't need sales only marketing. It is what it is.
