Scripts to get Twitter data into G-Sheets

Hey IH,

I've been working on a few G-Sheet scripts that led you easily extract data from Twitter into a spreadsheet using the official Twitter API.

I find this quite handy for doing all kinds of competitor and market analysis as well as simply tracking engagement and growth performances.

I've explained and listed all the scripts here in quite a bit of detail so that you can copy it: https://www.zebrafarm.co/courses/twitter-to-google-sheets

It includes 6 different templates and a few explainer videos:

  • Following collector
  • Friends scraper
  • Hashtag exporter
  • Profile collector
  • Profile statistics
  • Tweets exporter

Again, this isn't some blackhat front-end scraping that gets your account banned. Nope! Using the official API and even if you're not a developer you should be able to follow my tutorial and video.

Curious to hear if this is helpful for ya and whether you'd like some tweaks. Pls, drop a comment below the template if you have any questions or customisation requests.

Cheers,
Ruben

P.S.
Working on many more scripts and templates, so if you like what you see then do let me know!

I wish you'd include more info in the post. In a format like:

    input -> output.

I went to your page, hoping to get a sense of what kind of data I'm getting, and I'm still not getting it (I'm a developer btw).

I think you're too much into "developer mode" with your writing. You should zoom out a little and explain what you're doing on a high level. What am I enter (input), what will your software do (on a high level), and what will I get (output)? You could even make pictures (similar to before/after pictures) of this.

Thank you - makes sense, that's very helpful. I should be able to add that over the weekend. Thanks for the advice 👊
