SEO audit advice, offers?

HI IH! Seeking SEO help re: http://nightshiftbikes.com

A few years ago, one of my bikes got picked up by blogs/mags; no idea if that traffic is useful or not. Regardless, my SEO's a hot mess.

About to ship a few /nocodeMVP subpages; any advice/offers on cleaning up SEO game given this plan/schedule?

What does _ get me?

  • $50
  • $100
  • $250
  • Matt, you left off a digit...
    Thx!

Most (good) SEOs would tell you you are missing a 0. You could hire someone cheap of a site like Fiverr but that will only net you a list of keywords anyone could pull from any tool, and a few blog posts.

    That's not a strategy though.

SEO is a long game, if you are starting from scratch (which it looks like you are) it will take a lot longer than 10 weeks to see any results. Given the timeline, I would say SEO is a poor channel - a proper SEO strategy requires thought, planning, execution in the form of content, and waiting for Google to index the site and rank it appropriately. This takes a lot of time.

There may be quicker ways to source ideas though (especially because green tech is being talked about with more urgency now more than ever). Google has a survey product which allows you to survey a demographic, you could try and appear on some podcasts, join some online forums in the niche, etc.

Just curious though - why not focus on the bikes? It seems that you do them well, and it could be a good niche to own. Have you gotten much feedback that people want more than just bikes?

If you have a longer timeline after this (say 6+ months) then SEO would be a great channel to explore. I'll add a shameless plug that I offer coaching and consulting to help brands build effective SEO strategies.

Tyler, this is so helpful; I appreciate it. I’ll follow up on email about Centori help. Could be a great fit.

I think there’s a larger question embedded here that I’ll ask now since I know others have asked/discussed.

It’s about prototyping under an existing url or using new urls for each. I already have a “omg, I’ve got the greatest url idea ever, let’s fire up networksolutions…” problem, so I’m hesitant to get distracted when the real goal is shipping something and learning.

Here’s the plan I’ve got for the next couple of months - https://www.indiehackers.com/post/5-mvps-in-10-weeks-doable-7617a14fbc

If you or anyone else have input on whether these experimental tools should be on nightshiftbikes.com or elsewhere, I’d love some guidance.
