SEO content marketing questions for a noob

Hi everyone I have a few questions regarding keyword research for blog posts type content marketing.

What tools does everyone use when writing blog posts?

Are there any tools you recommend like snazzy ai or any ai article writers that help when your stuck? Do any tools help with keyword frequency or keyword research while you’re writing?

Currently my process is to do initial research with keywords everywhere chrome plugin and then get traffic estimates from google keyword planner.

Just want to know best practices to work smarter and faster.

For keyword research and inspiration I suggest Ubersuggest by Neil Patel. It covers most features e.g. ahrefs or semrush has, but is more simple and less expensive. It also has a lifetime-price without a subscription.

Tools for AI content-recommendations (without the SEO-part) are copy.ai or markcopy.ai for example :)

    Good luck 🙂

I use a combination of Google Sheets (for writing down initial ideas and writing down some numbers behind it to figure out if an idea is worth pursuing.

Than I use both just plain old Google search results, and SEMRush to figure out potential traffic, plus I manually check the first page results to spot any gaps worth pursuing in the current content that ranks to make a final selection in the Google Sheet for the content that I do end up writing about.

The knowledge I have by looking at the best ranking results and by using Frase.ai I then turn into an outline, and after that it is just filling in the blanks ;-)

If you want to have a more in-depth look into all my steps (more than 10k words) I wrote about it here on my blog.

Let me know if you’ve got any questions about it, happy to discuss and help!

I use Ghost blog - it looks like this https://blog.privateequitylist.com (added it as a subdomain), for keywords - I just write what I think is useful.
Ghost costs $15/month and you can customise like you want, add premium readers for a price (Stripe).

Ah yeh ghost is great! I’ve fallen in love with nextjs and sanity. I guess I’m more looking for tool and process recommendations for the keyword research portion. Thanks for replying!
