Hi Subro, thanks for doing this.

    Here is mine:

    1. https://promote.so - Grow your business through partnerships

    2. Keywords: Affiliate marketing, partnership marketing, partner management platform, referral marketing, influencer marketing, promoting business.

    1. 1

Hey, these keywords are very competitive and to start out with content marketing you should look for long tail versions of these, unless you have a high promotional budget. Also, you may consider targeting a specific type of audience and then expand to a broader market. Here are some ideas (long tail versions):

      1. Partnership marketing ideas for X
X can be restaurants, real estate, realtor resort and so on
      2. Step by step guide to find the right affiliate partner for your business
      3. Why referral marketing has greater ROI than Social Media and Search Engines Ads?
  4. 2

    Thanks for doing this!
    Here's my site: https://www.fundstory.com
    keyword: non-dilutive capital

Looks like you already have some cool content added in your site. One possible issue I can see is that contents are concise. You can add more related topics to them to make them 1500+ words long as you are in a competitive industry, even if the specific keywords are not very competitive.

Here are few ideas you can try:

      1. X advantages of non-dilutive capital over dilutive capital
      2. Is stock dilution good or bad? (Spoiler: your case may be different)
      1. 1

        Thanks for this quick feedback!

    1. 2

I believe a lot of people using your site are freelancers or productized services. So if you try building a content strategy around educating them it'll really make an impact and help you build trust and engagement. Here are some ideas:

      1. How to handle your first call with a new client?
      2. The common mistakes people make while building a X portfolio for side projects

The second one is a content machine where you can fit any topic like web-design, logo making, voiceover, Stripe developer etc. and create more content based on suitable keywords.

      3. Top 20 messages for New Year Greetings in 2020

    Landing Page: https://storycreatorapp.com

After research on Ahrefs I found this KW: "youtube end screen template" (Difficulty 19, Volume 3.9k, Top page has 100 backlinks )

I am thinking I add 3 templates under this category https://storycreatorapp.com/templates and add a blog post around how to add Youtube end screen templates

    Open to thoughts

    1. 2

Hey, I just had a look at your keyword and couple of things I'd like to point out before the content ideas. The Ahrefs difficulty isn't right for your keyword.

So, the method I use for keyword difficulty is this- I find some alternatives of the keyword and punch them in google (in incognito mode) and find out the results coming out. If the results contain >7 pages from big brands it's high difficulty, <=7 and >3, medium and 3 or less is easy. In your case the pages I found are from: snappa, adobe, canva, profounder, gotchseo etc. So it's definitely high difficulty.

More importantly, the top results are images are youtube videos, so you might have you consider recording a video, and putting some good number images/templates out there to compete for this keyword (Wofox is ranking with a list of 62). That said, here are my ideas for content:

      1. List of X editable youtube end screen template
      2. Find out best youtube end screen templates for different video types by sentiment
      3. Why end screen templates matter in Youtube videos?
      4. Examples of youtube end screen templates that make your video look professional
      1. 1

Thanks for taking the time. So do you think I should change my research process a bit and go after a different word?

        1. 2

Yes, that'll make sense. You can follow the method I mentioned to pick easier keywords not competing with big brands.

          1. 1

I see so sounds like Ahrefs ranking is one part of the equation. It's best to combine that factor with the actual SERPs and if big companies are on there with high DR?

I agree with that, I read from the Ahrefs blog that the backlink volume and the DR are some key things to evaluate to see how hard it will be to rank.

So with your method, I assume it's similar, a big brand will naturally have a high DR and backlinks. However, I think it's possible to beat bigger brands if you have stronger backlinks and more backlink volume.. right?

            1. 1

That's a bit tricky. By DR if you mean domain rating from Ahrefs that can easily be achieved. I worked on multiple projects where I boost someone's DR to 50+ within a month but that doesn't make all their pages to rank in top 10. TBH they can't even beat others with DR 30 with good reputation.

The way Google search works is it considers reputation as a huge factor. And that's not just the DR that you see in Ahrefs ( I consider Ahref's DR as a vanity metric). Google has 200 ranking factors and most important are domain backlinks (quality), page backlinks (quality), age, branded searches, user experience like load speed, average session time. But more than backlink volume backlink quality matters. If you have backlinks from NYT or WP it goes a long way. If you are interested to discuss more drop me an email.
