Should landing page include bio of founders?

Hello IH community! My co-founder and I just launched the landing page for asCENT, a browser extension that automates charity each time you shop. Make a change in the world with each cent!

https://www.ascent.fund/beginnings

As this is intended to be a non-profit, I was wondering if it'll make sense to include our bio in it. Or will that be a distraction? Thanks!

Personally, I agree with @Tanohzana. It's really subjective.

In my case, I will be launching my product ruttl very soon, but once its live I will be adding the founders page because it humanizes your entire product in the perception of customers.

In my opinion, it really depends on the stage of your project. If it's super early and you just want to test the idea and collect email like I do for www.nimba.ci, then, I'm not sure that puting yourself on the front line is necessary.

I would even say that when your project is advanced, I wouldn't put myself on the front page. I'd just a link to another "The team" page, or "Who we are", or "About us" 🙂

Mhmm sounds good! Just wondering if launching a non-profit will change anything about putting myself on the frontline in the early stages.

I see thanks! Will you suggest including another section “our bio” on the landing page then?

Definitely agree here. For this type of product, including your bio could be really helpful in your overall positioning. A lot of marketing is telling a story, so if you include the bio on the landing page, make it part of a story. Talk about why you choose to build asCENT and maybe some of your personal charitable contributions or causes you're interested in.
