Should you have an exit plan, even if you're not planning on exiting?

Even though the acquisition process isn’t new to us at SureSwift Capital, we know how stressful it can be for Founders. @webbie, who sold us her SaaS in 2016, put together this article about exit plans and why they can be so beneficial to Founders once it’s time to sell (and before then, too).

The eventual exit is on the back of my mind every day as I run my new startup - from creating accounts and storing passwords to contingency planning. Here are some questions anyone with some revenue and especially solo founders should be asking themselves:

    1. What happens to the business if I get sick?
    2. What automations or processes can I put in place to not be a bottleneck and allow things to move along without customers or team members depending on me?

    Happy to answer any questions!
