Launched simple landing page for boomadmin.com with invite form.
Even though most web apps are CRUD apps powered by a database, admin usually takes a backseat. BoomAdmin makes databases pleasant to work with.
Just wondering how many of you have sites that are powered by mysql, postgressql e.t.c How do you manage your site/app ?
hi @nojvek
The page looks good and I like the idea.
I always wondered if there is something like this which should already exist.
PHP MySQL admin sucks!
Re: the landing page I would improve the graphic by actually may be showing a screenshot of the app?
Also, what would the Early access mean? maybe offering a 10% lifetime discount or something that would entice visitors to sign up
Best of luck

Hi @waseembashir,
Thanks for the feedback. Means a lot to me. I am still working on the MVP, will have more gif like screenshots in upcoming weeks.
There are competitors like forestadmin.com and jetadmin.io . This has been born very much out of my need over building many apps over the last 10 years. phpMyAdmin sucks a lot, agreed.
This is very much imagining how interacting with databases should be for teams. Gonna try out some new ideas and see how it goes.
Metabase is another open source, self-hosted solution. But it shares a lot of the pains with the ones you mentioned - difficult to set up and maintain, difficult to train non-technical members, and collaboration is an afterthought or non-existent.
This is a tough problem to solve. I wish you luck!
Thanks @pythagoran,
Metabase is cool, I played with the demo but it deffo feels a bit clunky.
Btw do you have apps that run on mysql, postgressql, or mssql ? How often do you have a need for a better admin tool ? Would you be willing to pay 99/year if boomadmin met it's collaboration and ease of use promises?
Just trying to do some market validation.
I do use sql dbs but I currently don't have the need for a better tool aside from pgAdmin, my own UIs, and the terminal. I'm also not maintaining any highly-collaborative projects at the moment, so I'm probably not your demographic.
But I've used these tools extensively in my previous roles with clients and employers. I think that $100/year is nothing if you could deliver an effective solution.
