There isn't a lot of material online that validates if people will pay for your product and I feel like this is the most important step, what are some methods people use for this?
If you have an audience, it shouldn't be too difficult.
If you dont, well you're going to have to risk it anyway, build the MVP, hope people pay.
(You can attempt to presell to your existing email list, but I doubt it'll yield many takers.)
I find that asking people if they "would/will pay" is an exercise in futility; people say stuff they don't mean all the time for various reasons.
It's an encouraging sign, yes, but still you need to test it out in the market eventually to confirm if they'll really pay.
This should be one of those "I'll believe it when I see it" situations; you need to be cautious and conservative here.
Often in SaaS, people also don't really know if they'd pay until they have it in their hands (free trial) and you try to take it back from them (free trial expired, must upgrade to continue using).
Preselling, if you can.

That's the true test of validation.
Gotcha, intuitively I understood this but I guess I was just looking for a trick to speed this up. Appreciate the info.
