Somebody from France? Why there is no high quality IT job board in your country? Let's make one together?

I am a programmer from Poland. In my country we have literally TONS of dedicated programming job boards like: https://justjoin.it/ https://nofluffjobs.com/ and many, many more.

From what I can figure they are doing extremely well - they are very popular among programmers. I was counting how many postings they have times how much they charge for posting and it seems there is a real money to make here. These apps are trivial to write from programming standpoint, we would just need to focus on marketing, but this doesn't seem difficult either - just post reguraly some cool offers on facebook programming groups - that's what polish job boards do all the time.

I wanted to make my own job board - https://skillsale.herokuapp.com - but have given up precisely because polish market is so oversatured at this point.

My girlfriend is French however and recently I was considering moving to France (Strasbourg). I obviously wanted to check out programming job offers to see what technologies are in demand and how much I might earn.

To my shock I discovered (correct me if I am wrong) that French devs mostly use Indeed, LinkedIn and other general job boards, which are very inconvenient to use: it's difficult to filter the offers by technologies (for example I want to find only ReactJS front-end positions, where I don't need to know or use PHP/Java). Also these postings don't include information about how much I would earn (which is a de facto standard in Poland at this point). Another convenience would be the map showing where exactly I would work.

Soooo... let's just copy that Polish business model and see how it will do in France? How do you think it would turn out? Is there something I don't know about french IT market, that makes this a bad idea? Why there are still no dedicated high quality programming job boards in France? Or maybe I just don't know them?

Is there someone who would like to build one with me? As you have seen I already have starting base - we could just translate it to French, make some fixes and MVP is ready!

Waiting for your comments and opinions. Cheers!

As a friendly advice, if you don't speak French, don't live in France and never experience the French corporate culture, don't start a HR tech company. They are VERY special...

Have a look at the HR tech landscape:

Aside Stack Overflow, there are a couple of IT job boards like

Can't talk for others but I run a French job board dedicated to FOSS professionals in France https://www.linuxjobs.fr, since 2015, MRR is 1k€. You can filter by category or by city. We also broadcast job offers to Twitter and Mastodon social networs.

My experience is: the technology behind a job board is not really important. Your audience is. Without broad audience, you don't provide value to your real client, the recruiter.
