Space Launch (my first React website)

Check out my website https://spacelaunch.ninja/ to get info about upcoming space launches (live webcast links aren't updated for some launches). Any feedback/ suggestions are appreciated.

I'm a beginner to React and this is my first personal React website. I plan to add more features soon.

Very cool. I'm going to link it to my wife and several of her closest NASA friends.

Maybe it would be cool to somehow sync up with the data from SpotTheStation so you get both launches and flyovers?

Thank you! That's a great suggestion. Do you mean the flyovers of the International Space Station?

This is cool! I think it would be a good fit to add an email newsletter signup form.

You could sign up for a free Mailchimp (or similar) account and add the signup form to your site in minutes, and then just periodically tell the list about new launches that have been added, with links to the site for more details.

Many sites struggle to get email subscribers, but this kind of content gives you a built-in reason to reach out without coming across as spammy.

Another idea might be to add a subscribable calendar feed with the launch details, or a button next to each launch to add it to my calendar with a single click. I think the email list would have a much higher return on investment, though.

That's a great idea! What's better in your opinion, an email alert when the launch gets too close or periodic emails about newly added launches?

Good question. I guess my ideal would be to get an email a day or two before any launch that has a live webcast.

Whatever you start with, you might get feedback from users who have good reasons to change it. So, I'd just go with your gut instinct to start, and don't make any overly-specific promises in the copy. Leave yourself the freedom to change the timing of the emails later without anyone feeling misled.

Cool website! I've been looking for something like this. Added to bookmarks.

Quick question: what time zone are you using on the website? Maybe add it to the end of the date :)
Oh and small fyi: it still says 'Web site created using create-react-app' when linking in Discord for example.

Thanks for taking the time to write a helpful feedback! As for the first question, the time is calculated according to the user's location. But as you said, I think adding the time zone would make this more clear (I will add this in the next deployment).

Oh nice catch, I will also add a description.
