Spectator of 2020

The year 2020 was hard for everyone. Fortunately, most devs didn't feel that. I was in the small % that took a hit by the global recession caused by lockdowns but after all, it's quite ok. I was temporarily earning less money but hey! I still have a job.

On the other front - side projects - I feel like I failed. The beginning was very promising. In May I released a Chrome extension and mobile apps for Apple Store and Google Play. So checknlearn is operating.
I did a bit more than I originally planned but I still consider it as MVP.

So far I had positive feedback but I must admit, that the wider audience still didn't see my little project. I completely failed at marketing in the second half of the year.
And believe it or not but users didn't find it by themselves in the vast ocean called the Internet.

By failed I mean - I did nothing. Not that campaigns were not converting visitors into users. I just did nothing 🤦‍♂️ It's hard to admit that in public but that's my breaking point.

I have to change that. One of the ways of making my little project more public is... building it in public. If you'd like to find out if it's possible to earn money on browser extension then consider following me on Twitter - @tomekdev_. We will find out together 🤷‍♂️

First action point - I'll burn some money on ads before 2020 ends.
