Yesterday I was able to knock out the remainder of the front end work to feel comfortable putting the app in front my first artist users. It's certainly not perfect, and there are things I'd like to fix, but the functionality is enough that if early adopters are going to be willing to use it, they should be willing to use it in its current state. I'm still "embarrassed by it," but not embarrassed enough not to show it to a stranger.
Today I plan to work on the last pre onboarding hurdle - speeding up the site. I'm hosting on Heroku with AWS for image storage. Today I plan to implement the Cloudfront CDN to speed up the site, and also work on resizing images on upload to increase speed and save on storage space.
