What is a microsaas business?

A microsaas business has gained so much popularity because it is a business targeted at a very niche market with a very small team or in most cases just 1 person.

  • focuses on smart costs
  • smaller user base
  • no outside funding (generally)

Now - how can you start?

the idea. the 2 most important parts to a microsaas business is the idea and niche users.

  • design the product/microsaas
  • develop the workflows and application
  • validate the idea with your first users
  • scale to get more users

Now, some of you will say "you need users FIRST!!!!!!!!". Yes that is another viable way to startup a microsaas. There are also many ways to peal a banana.

This is a good way to start as well:

  • get a small group of niche users having the same problem as you.
  • get their input on the problem (how they want it solved)
  • start the design/flow of the product
  • develop the product
  • allow those users to use it for free and test it
  • once the first users love it
  • have them and you promote to the niche market

Those ways are both great. The second is nice because if you don't have a good product or idea you will know quickly. But sometimes its hard to get that small group without a following.

So now you now what a micro-saas business is and how you can start one.
