In the past I've had a build-first, show-when-ready attitude. This time I have decided to build in public.
Initially I though the main benefit would be increased exposure (and I'm still hoping that is the case) but I had a Eureka moment when choosing the name/domain for my service.
I always find naming things difficult and this was no different. I asked for opinions in this IH post and my ideas got flamed. Deservedly.
So I had a short break and then revisited with the feedback in mind... and came up with a couple of much better ideas. I asked again and got a much better response which confirmed my choice.
This has been a real eye opener. Building in the open can be great for help with real decisions along the way. Especially for solo founders like myself.
And the name is... twitmate.com
My domain (rosie.land) name came from a suggestion from an indie hacker. 😇
Great name!
Good luck Ryan, it might be useful service for me to use in the service when I look to grow my twitter once my MVP is complete!
That's awesome to hear!
Great name! Makes a lot of sense for building publicly on Twitter :)
It certainly has helped so far!
