Still using chat apps for community building sometimes

Weird enough, I am still running some of my communities on Slack or Discord or other chat apps for community building. Many people that I have talked to are frustrated by the limitation of chat apps: communities cannot do proper discussions.

"people miss the discussion because they came late". Sometimes the notification arrives late, or the person is busy. They often miss the discussion in chat apps.

"Cannot have two topic in the same channel". You can divide your channel so well, but it still happens. The discussion became painful. The information are a mess. You cant find it.

Or what else are you having problem with?

I am wondering anyone is struggling with it?

I don't run communities on chat apps but I am part of them.they grew from group texts. It's frustrating missing a topic and then having to skip it.

I have the same frustration man. For a community builder, it's shitty, bc you will lose your members over time.

Are you building communities as well? What groups are u in?
