Sum up your product in less than 10 words + Drop the link ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป

Sum up everything (or the main thing) that your business/project is trying to do in 10 words or less.

Link to your site and let other IH'ers judge if you've done a good job or not.

Winner is one who uses least amount of words!!!

    1. 2

      This is a great idea!

    2. 1

      whose your target market?

      1. 2

People who start business ideas in google sheets. People who have to work in spreadsheets every day (beyond accounting) and want to make their own lives easier and more pleasant. People who have to do basic business analysis in google sheets and whose bosses eyes glaze over when they have to look at another data table.

    3. 1

      Andrew, I love this.

google sheets is my jam, but I'm no where near as skilled as I should be, I'll check out your site ASAP!

      1. 1

Please do. Happy to help any fellow indie hacker do amazing things. You might need to do some PR for your MVP when launched. a google sheet makes a good quick CRM to build up and even use streak.com to send emails in bulk for free.

        1. 1

Loving your emails so far, didn't know you could do all that with google sheets

I appreciate you're taking the LEAN approach using Gumroad.

      I'd add an eye-catching header and a gut-busting headline.

          1. 1

            they're cool. dense with info!

Broadly speaking though I do agree with @akinhwan. I think longer term you could move to a landing page with more social proof etc ...

Gumroad is great to ship quick. But a landing page might convert better

I somehow strangely like the landing page, looks very cheesy but it kept me on reading.

      1. 1

"strangely liked the landing page" - I'm dead hahaha

It is VERY cheesy but the whole idea was to get you to read on and it obviously did it's job :D

I made it in less than 2 hours and was my first time so probs is hella cringe but it is converting at least

    2. 3

Yeah, agree - when I saw that red warning/danger sign I though the site is some kind of spam/antivirus alert

      1. 1

Ahhh shit never thought of it like that, I'm gonna have to knock it down a peg or two!

Thank you so much for your feedback mate, much appreciated!

I used the warning thing as something to grab peoples attention and make them scroll down.

The product is still being built so I don't actually have any demo content (YET!). But trust me when I do I will be abusing it.

"Huge time saver"? So do you think this product has practical purposes? Something that you would personally plan on using one day perhaps?

how are you advertising & marketing this?

I imagine content marketing on Pinterest would perform tremendously well.

      love it

      1. 2

Right now just using FB ads and some email marketing! I definitely want to expand on Pinterest though I'm unfamiliar with the platform and need to build a strategy.

        Do you have experience there?

        1. 1

          Makes sense.

Have you tested Google search? i.e. targeting bottom of the funnel leads who search for competitors' names

I used to build Pinterest & Tumblr pages for backlinking purposes, however, I've never tried their advertising.

Would love to connect and learn more.

Simple cookie consent for Segment users.

    https://consentry.org/

    1. 1

So for different user demographics you have different cookies set up?

      1. 1

Good question - Segment is actually a service that allows you to manage all of the different services you use for data gathering. Our current iteration of our product sits on top of segment and ensures the cookie consent for all of those services happens in a GDPR-compliant way. (We're working on a way to use it without Segment, but it's not out yet).

This is really helpful feedback, we'll take a look and try to make it more clear that we're talking about Segment the service, not different segments of users. Thanks!

Looking nice Toms! Just a quick note if you allow me, I was initially a bit confused when I read the main sentence diagonally, as the "Design and launch" at the beginning made me initially think that what you are offering is a platform to perhaps design illustrations and launch sites. Later it becomes clear, but maybe if you say something like "Use our resources for your digital projects" it goes straight to the point and it might be less confusing. Just my humble opinion, I'm not an expert in the field and I'm here to learn and improve :)

This is a great concept, love the landing page too.

One note on the description here, maybe it's just me, but I initially read it as saying that businesses that already have an online store could feature their favorite products for purchase - basically recommended products. Your actual product is much more interesting that that!

I wonder if you could remove that confusion with something like:

"Feature purchases you're made across the web in your own online store"
