Hey everyone,
I run a public journal called Talking Growth. The thinking behind it is to highlight my journey growing my company Growth Roadmap and personal brand. In the latest issue, I discuss Founder Led Sales and my current public social media strategy.
Project Popeye - Project Popeye is my social media strategy for how I plan to lean more into building my personal brand and the Growth Roadmap brand. In a nutshell, my approach is to educate and curate.
Founder Led Sales - I've always been more of a sales/marketing and product-oriented founder. I'm technical ish, but don't expect to be able to push serious code. Still, as Growth Roadmap is in the 0-1 phase, I've worn the hat of the head of sales as I steer the ship forward. This in turn has put an ever-growing emphasis on growing creating valuable content and growing my social capital.
How:
Social Media
Using educate and curate across social channels with a heavy emphasis on Twitter.
Community
Identifying the Slack Groups, forums (e.g. Reddit), and Facebook Groups where other founders, marketers, and executives live. Be active in these communities and create a consistent series of content that showcases expertise and value adds.
Goal: Build trust and a community which in term allows me to grow my brand + Growth Roadmap
