Team up to re-invent credit cards (in Japan)

Hey everyone,

So getting right to it...

In Japan's current system of assessing credit worthiness, one 2 year old strike is enough to lock you out of most credit based financial services for 5+ years regardless of your current financial standing. Over 25% of applicants are regularly denied credit cards for reasons that include the above.

At ZORI, we're working on becoming one of the first credit card companies in Japan to issue cards based on an individual's present cash flow and current payment habits. We're creating a model that sifts through digital financial records to determine end-month balances and judge payment habits with the aim of extending a healthy credit line to those that the current system frequently overlooks.

We're working to incorporate technology and smart, intuitive design to bring inclusion and simplicity to the entire experience from getting to owning a card.

We are based Kyoto, Japan and are looking for a boss tech lead to help us bring this to market and handle the rails beyond...

If this is something that intrigues you, feel free to reach out.
Thanks for taking the time,

L

Hi Zori! I'm currently in the process of moving to Tokyo with my current company (I'm the founder). Not looking for a job, but I love your idea and have a lot of experience in payment processing (I have around 400 merchants in my current company accepting over $2M / month in payments). Would love to talk and see if there's anything we can do together. Let me know how to get in touch!

Hey there! Looks like an interesting project, would be happy to hear more about it.

I've been a partner at BLD since 2010. It's a French IT security company - having one of the major French banks as one of our clients.

Feel free to drop an email!
