Honestly, it is pretty solved. Just lots to engineer and do. I run continuous deployment in a monorepo, which contains the FE, BE, and apps. So my deployment process is pretty elaborate. nx.dev has been great though.
If i wanted to, I could do manual deployments of electron and be done pretty quickly. But I like to automate as much of this kind of stuff as possible, while I have it fresh in my head. Hopefully it pays off in the long run and frees me up to iterate better.
I'm working on a productivity web app, and at the beginning I thought about simultaneously building a desktop version via Electron... thought it would be easy just to wrap my web app in an Electron wrapper. But I kept running into unexpected build & deploy road-bumps that were slowing me down. So I'm going to just focus on web for now, and tackle Electron later.
This is a really cool idea. I don't know if it'll catch on, but it looks great.
Sorry to hear about your Electron update issues. I would have thought that was a solved problem by now 😟
Thanks!

I see, that makes sense.

Good luck to you!
