The Most Fastest Way to Accelerate Your Personal Growth

We never stop growing.

And entrepreneurs are the types of people who push boundaries, and in pushing boundaries, they push themselves to grow! That's essential.

In fact, diving into the entrepreneurship journey of creating something from nothing will improve you in every way. Building a business is hard work.

You cannot expect to build an amazing product or service that will change others' lives if you're not going to do some work on yourself along the way.

To become successful you have to develop a number of characteristics.

You need the knowledge, experience, habits, strong mental health, and practices that will help you grow into the entrepreneur you want to be.

As an entrepreneur, you have to continue growing as an individual to be trusted by your customers and leads. As your business grows, you should, too.

Well, internalizing 57 traits might be a bit much when your just starting out, and i feel like you will pick up most of these along the way.

Nevertheless, I think you are a hundered percent right. Most people lack the mental resilience, discipline and positive mindset to build successful companies. They give up too easily (why most startups fail btw) or don't take care of themselves emotionally, which every person should do.

If you only see the negative in things and don't have a growth mindset, might as well stay an employee for life.

They give up too easily (why most startups fail btw)

      I'm curious.

Do you think that this is the case? Isn't it also valuable to recognize when you're not making progress and calling it quits? How would you determine when to persevere and when to stop?

      1. 2

Even experienced entrepreneurs have said that's a very tough call to make. You could be right there at the last mile, just inches before being succesful and quit.

Or you don't have a good product market fit and no matter how you run, you will never reach the finish line.

That's why iterating on customer feedback and doing thorough market research is so important. I could be building the best smartphone of all time, but with all these big guys around my chances of success are highly unlikely to non-existent.

That's why self-awareness and perspective is so important for entrepreneurs. Sometimes you miss the forest for the trees. You believe in your product when no one else does.

In other cases it's perseverance that will get you there eventually. Look at AirBnb, Starbucks or Dropbox. None of these were overnight successes

Thank you so much for providing this unique perspective, Nikola!

I have learned a lot from your words and have understood concepts which I have always blown off as "not be so important" before.

Your words were a big inspiration, so thanks again for sharing them!

@Nikoisonfire By the way, this would make a great topic for a standalone Indie Hackers post (e.g. for getting your name out there). With what you've written, you'd already be 90% there.

I strongly believe that other people would also value your insights.

Thank you for the kind words, Niklas :-)

I might. I might even start a blog. Why not

                Go for it! :)

I see that you're building a community for musicians. You could even do something like Derek Sivers and combine general entrepreneurial advice with advice for musicians.
