The most simple (and cheap) way to integrate subscriptions?

While working on MVP for my habit tracker I'm thinking about the way to add subscriptions business model into it.

My current tech stack is React, Redux, Firebase Auth, Firebase Firestore and Firebase Cloud Functions.

I really want to ship my product faster and see how it performs, so I'm curious about the simple and relatively cheap option to integrate subscriptions.

What people are using nowadays? Is it Stripe / Paddle? I've heard Gumroad Subscriptions were launched recently too.

    I use Paddle and I love it! I looked at Stripe before but that seemed a lot more complicated to integrate.
