The productive way of designing a MVP with great UX

  1. Stick to your native platform's guidelines.

  2. Use a UI kit (suggestions below)

  3. Spend your time designing user flows and testing them with real people, instead of designing fancy screens.

Most of the products especially in the B2B market don't require you to build a super-unique brand and identity in order to stand out.

Therefore it's better to focus on UX and testing instead of UI and branding.

Choosing the right UI kit is the key to this approach. It allows you to invest all of your time and energy on making sure that your product works the way it should, and that it's easy to use.

You can design screens that look beautiful, simple and clean, without messing around with the UI details. Everything is there for you and you can focus on what truly matters.

However the UI kits market is pretty messy and you can find many low-quality ones. That's why it's important to stick to the native guidelines of your platform and keep your UI simple and clean!

Here are the ones that I use for my projects and clients:

Totally agree with you. It's much better to spend more time on researching and analysis then actualy designing and developing.

There is also, a lot of free UI kits to start with.

P.S. For past 2 years I make and sell UI kits ✌️

Hey! That's awesome man, how is it going so far? I never got into this industry of selling UI kits but it always seemed interesting to me :)

In the begining it was great, a lot of sales, easpecially on ui8.net, now many great designers sell their own UI kits, so competition is huge and better than before. To success in this field, you have to be very active, so 1-3 UI kit per month. EnvatoElements is now big player in the game, but earnings are much lower than ui8.net. Figma is now leader, than Sketch.

Thanks for sharing all these! What about framer ? Have you tried selling UI kits for that tool? (That’s what I was thinking to experiment with in the future)

          1. 1

Didn't try that, but I think Framer community is not so huge, but that can be advantage, also :)
