Thinking Of Adding New Features For My Tool, Need Your Suggestions! 🤔

Top of the morning guys! ☀️

The latest google calendar integration to my productivity tool Brutask got a great response from the users plus it has made meeting management a whole lot easier for my team too!

management

Yesterday I was working with my team to brainstorm new feature additions for the coming weeks. So, I decided to run a short survey with you guys to find out what other features might help out the community.

Here are some of the features ideas we could come up with -

1. Slack Integration
One-way integration where slack will notify about all the tasks listed inside your daily Brutask to-do list.

2. Progressive Web App
A lot of users suggested the idea of a mobile app but since we don't have the resources for an android/iOS app yet, we thought of making a web-based progressive app

3. Walkie-Talkie Chat For Team
This feature will help teams to communicate with each other directly inside the Brutask dashboard, through a walkie-talkie button.

I am eager to know what you guys think, so it would mean a lot if you can vote for the feature below. ✅

If you have any new feature ideas or any modification to those existing ideas, please do comment them down below! I would love to see if I can get them integrated into the tool. 👇

Love,
Siddhita ❤️

P.S - If you want to learn about new brainstorming methods for your product too, you can check out this article. My team uses this very framework to strike new ideas!

Do you not think it would make more sense to ask the Users? If they are using it then they should be the people who build out your product roadmap. They will have likes and dislikes or general usage feedback, whereas, people responding in here will just suggest anything to sound helpful.

I agree with @Melomal - if you've got active users, ask them for feedback. You could throw up a public feedback portal and let anyone give you product feedback or add your ideas, with a bit more detail like here and let people discuss and vote on them. Remember: the discussion is more important than the vote count. You should drill down into the why!

Hint: You can now do exactly this with Noora (https://noorahq.com). Just create a board and set it so only your team can add new posts. Then get your users to comment and vote.

Hey Siddhita, congrats on Brutask evolution! I think Slack integration makes sense. It will bring you more people and give more value to your product. 👍

  3. 2

Ideally you can use your higher-level product/business strategy to help inform this as well. If you're focused on growing your user base right now then which of these is blocking people from signing up/activating? If you're focused on increasing usage of the product then which of these has the best chance of driving that?

Have you spoke to any customers yet?

Perhaps they know the problems and new features feasibility in their own terms?

Would be great to read your next write up about this. Keep it up!

hey Siddhita, I posted you the other day about pricing - basically, why is Brutask free? It looks amazing so I am curious why you are not looking to monetise?

Slack integration sounds great. I'd wait with PWA, maybe it will make more sense to wait and build a mobile app instead.
