"This extension is not trusted by enhanced safe browsing" - How to remove this?

We launched a new extension with a new developer account, and when a user downloads we get this message: "This extension is not trusted by enhanced safe browsing". Is there any way to get rid of this message?

Does transferring the extension to an established developer account help? Our other extension in an established developer account does not create a problem.

This message is a problem, as our uninstall rate has hit the roof here. Was wondering what is the way around it? What has been your experience.

This is what Google says about the matter:

"For additional protection when you install a new extension from the Chrome Web Store, you can use Enhanced Safe Browsing. If you enable Enhanced Safe Browsing in Chrome, it warns you when an extension that you want to install isn’t trusted. Extensions are considered trusted when they’re built by a developer who follows the Chrome Web Store Developer Programme Policies.

For new developers, it generally takes a few months to become trusted. Eventually, we strive for all developers with compliant extensions to reach this status upon meeting our Developer Programme Policies."

Hi @zombiebyte19, I encountered the same with my new extension. I don't understand , if one is not following policies just reject the extension with a reason. What's the point in publishing and then scaring the users with this message. I dont think anyone will install after seeing this message.
Is the message still there for you extension or has it gone OR are there any steps/workaround that can be done to remove this?

Yes, this still exists though it does not effect the download that much. Apparently this only shows up when the user has enhanced privacy mode switched on. So, for most users that is not the case.

Thank you @Geronimo . I do understand this part, but this is a bit confusing without and feedback on what policies we are not following. Also, for new account, low long would we need to be out there before this rag is removed? Like, have you had any experience with this?

    it is about control
see these big tech company's are looking out for the bottom line by squashing apps that enable users to do what the company doesn't want them doing
    saving media, downloading music etc
they can"t just refuse the extension on the grounds it allows users to download copyright protected content or stream music outside paywalls people would just go off play and playstore would lose all control, instead they scare users into not trusting your extension which then quietly dies on the vine
