This tweet gave me 58k impressions

startsmall

As always, I was browsing IH. A place I love to hang out. And noticing people building a plethora of features before launching.

Then, I read a post from @csallen on how to brainstorm great business ideas where he writes about the importance of starting small.

It was also a mistake I made before launching my product, some years ago.

Wanting to help more, I decided to tweet the first version of some companies' websites and their current ones.

We can check the difference in companies' focus and features.

Twitter has been a powerful instrument to help me spread the message. It might bring high exposure, without spending big money.

Woo, Impressing! I've been RT by Google Analytics lately and got only 17k! It seems that IndieHackers is more popular than GA :)

I'd say what's more popular depends to whom you're tweeting.

Giving value to your people seems the best strategy to me.

What I have noticed being here on IH for the last couple of weeks is the true value of Twitter.
Always t of Twitter a bit like a dying social media when in fact it’s all the other social media’s that are dying, or at least the social aspect is.
I have decided to start jumping on Twitter as well to build my audience over there. Looking to take things slow since I’m in no rush and I’m almost 100% sure my business idea will work since it’s nothing new and has worked for many others.

I used to use Twitter only to read news. But then, I realised that Twitter is a community, where we can engage and give value.

As soon as I started doing it, things shifted and my tweets started gaining more attention

Do you think that the #indihackers hashtag contributed to initial reach which creates the initial wave of impressions and leads to massive organic reach?

The initial push was from Rosie Sherry and then, from Pieter Levels, from NomadList. IndieHackers RT gave me the other half of impressions.

Yeah I saw that tweet - organically. Nice to see the journey of each of these platforms.

Organic reach is what Twitter is able to give us! It's what I'm liking about Twitter

That was a very good idea, it's cool to see.

Congrats Leo, great post and engagement, and lesson overall
