Tiny Acquisitions

I launched tinyacquisitions.com, a web app that allows users to buy and sell tiny projects that are worth less than USD 5000.

If you are an indie hacker, maker, no-coder or any kind of creator chances are your tiny projects can be sold on the platform.

For the users who want to get into the startup space but aren't technical or would rather not start from scratch, I think with just a tiny capital that idea could be made a reality through acquisition.

Would love to get your feedback as well. You could send an email to [email protected]

Just uploaded my project its quick and simple I love that

Awesome idea and execution. I know it's kinda against the name of the business but I would love it (and use it) if there was a "Tiny investments" section too for fresh startups looking for tiny four-five figure investments from angels.

Thanks much! I will make a note of that.

  3. 2

Awesome! There's a need for this.

Feedback: most projects might not have revenue yet but it would be great to list those numbers though.

      1. 1

        Thanks! Will definitely integrate this

Yes just gonna do that well thanks for mail too

How I will do it is to encourage the users to detail this is the description.

    Love this. Well done!

Ahh love this! While Microacquire is great too, it’s moved upmarket in a big way - more in-line with brokers like FE International now. It’s nice to browse smaller projects! Good luck with Tiny Acquisitions!

Thanks for your awesome comment. Much appreciated.

This is great. Seems like a more indie alternative to https://microacquire.com/

    1. 1

Idk if you could make that link for us. Could you?

      1. 1

That's not my site. You would have to reach out to them if you want to be listed.

Congrats! FYI, I can't get text search to work (either from the front page or within the search page) and I'm getting an error in my JS console about:

"Element signup/login - The service LinkedIn Login - API Call Lite Profile just returned an error (HTTP 401). Please consult their documentation to ensure your call is setup properly. Raw error:

    {"serviceErrorCode":65600,"message":"Invalid access token","status":401}"

Thanks... The search works on complete words only and does the search live and should display if that keyword is found in the database. I will fix this by allowing direct navigation to the search page.

Also, don't worry about that error. It doesn't affect the app really.

Nice project! Some feedback: I had no idea what to put in the search box. I'd just have a button "Explore Projects" that takes you to the projects page.

  9. 1

    Cool!
I wish you the same success than the other indiehackers that sold 1kproject (now indiemaker)

Thank you, I heard about this!

Awsome I try to host jimm.ml net earnings 20$ so far and no growth at all

Congrats on the launch Stephen! Just signed up! :) It reminds me of https://microacquire.com, but even smaller, which is more of what I'm interested in right now. Looking forward to watching Tiny Acquisitions grow! 👏

I think this small space gets overlooked on a platform such as microacquire of which I am a fan. I just want to help creators get a space where their really small projects can be acquired too.

  12. 1

    Congrats on the launch 🥳

There's so much value in picking up an already validated business in a space you're interested in.

Can't wait to watch this grow 🙌

    1. 1

      Exactlyyyyy! Thanks much Lachlan.

  13. 1

Nice - I totally would have a use for this. 👏

    1. 1

      Brayden... Thanks for that validation.

  14. 1

Great idea, just signed up! I'm curious, how did you decide on the $5,000 price point as the limit?

    1. 1

I had the idea of what a small acquisition really was and started discussing it on twitter here: https://twitter.com/stepocampbell_/status/1379900228388667396

    Nice launch.

So do you facilitate search and discovery, and the features mentioned on your website.

Hence all the due diligence and paperwork will be conducted between buyers and sellers?

    1. 1

Yes search is available with filters and such. Yes at this current phase of the platform, the due diligence is done between buyer and seller.

  16. 1

Nice - just listed one of my projects. :)

  17. 1

Why the first and last names cannot be changed after been registered?

    1. 1

They can... Check your dashboard under Profile

      1. 1

You're right! Maybe it was my browser, thank you! And congrats!

  18. 1

This is pretty cool. Nicely done!

  19. 1

I really like the idea. I always wanted to browse small projects with great potential.

When it comes to the website, I think you need to iterate on the responsiveness. The are alot of white spaces there and too little padding on the sides.

Also, consider adding a listing of the projects for non authenticated users. User login should only serve to oost projects or buy one.

    Keep on it!

    1. 1

Thanks for the feedback re: responsiveness for mobile. Will work on the padding.

The listings are available to be viewed by non logged in users, they just have to be searched from the front page. Based on this feedback I am guessing I should include a click through directly to the search page.

      Thanks again.

  20. 1

Is this for projects with no revenue? Or do they require revenue?

    1. 1

The projects don't have to be generating revenue. They have to have some kind of intrinsic value though; email list, validation, sign ups, something.

  21. 1

Awesome - great idea in a niche I think is definitely underserved. I signed up!

    1. 1

Thanks Chris... Please let me know if you have any feedback.

Very strange... Will check that out. Thanks for the heads up.
