Google recently provided helpful advice on how to get your videos to perform better in search. To rank higher, give each video its own dedicated page.
Google updated their best practices for videos, saying that for maximum exposure, videos should be housed on dedicated pages. They then made it clear that this is a requirement for some rich results, including Key Moments and the Live Badge. It's worth noting that you can still include the video on other pages — it just needs to have its own page too. And according to Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Land, it's probably a good idea to include the video title, description, and transcript on the dedicated page.
