Titans Journal Day 1: Co-founder, New Tech Stacks & A.B.

BACKGROUND

I am so lucky to have a co-founder. Shain and I are both developers, we share a lot of values and our skill sets complement each other. We started out as co-workers in a blockchain gaming company and since then we have built numerous crypto projects together.

Shain and I officially started working on Titans Finance back in September 2019. We were promised some funding and we made a hasty decision in hiring another developer and a designer before the fund has arrived. We did receive a term sheet eventually in Q1 2020, but with the global shutdown, we are just not sure when the seed money will arrive.

I am so lucky to have a co-founder. And now I will take over the core development as my co-founder supports the project financially through working full time.

NEW TECH STACKS

We have been coding in Node.js / React / GraphQL / Postgres. This week as I'm ramping up to the code base, I had the chance to check out some new and interesting tech stacks:

  1. Widget & SDK: building a widget for buying Titans savings and Bitcoin products
  1. Titans Chain: records all transactions and support multi-sig and multi-level access control
  • Stellar: we have been focused on the Ethereum ecosystem, but it turns out Stellar has way better support for fiat currency, fast and low-cost transactions, and built-in multi-sig and multi-level access support! (https://www.stellar.org/)
  1. Landing page: a marketing site explaining Titans product and technology
  1. Smart contracts: for automating access for Compound and other platforms

ACCOUNTABILITY BUDDIES

Starting now we will share the journey of building Titans publicly. I want to invite you as our accountability buddies, and please feel free to give us feedback and suggestions!
