Two sided copywriting

I have been working on Startyk lately, so that writers can get their blog discovered and readers can get the best content easily without having to read everything.

This means that depending on whether a reader or a writer comes to my website, they will not be looking for the same service.

How would you spin this up ? I have two ideas now:

  1. Every writer will probably be a reader too, so get them in as a reader and then offer them to get their blog in. It feels a bit social media like in that everyone can read and write. The main benefit is that you would understand what Startyk is as soon as you land. The main drawback is that it would make it harder to find writers.

  2. Being presented with a choice as soon as someone gets to the site. With this choice, the people can be directed to the page most appropriate for what they want. The main benefit would be more precise copy on each page. The main drawback is this choice wall on which a lot of people would probably leave.

Have you worked on something similar ? What was your solution ?

Thanks a lot !
