.uk domains (probably only relevant to those of us in the UK)

So .uk domains have been here for several years. They were meant to replace .co.uk domains and for several years you actually couldn't by the .uk unless you also owned the .co.uk

Now however the "probation" period is over and you can buy the .uk even if you don't own the .co.uk.

Here's the question, would you? I need [brand].co.uk but it's being squatted on. I just bought [brand].uk

I haven't really seen any .uk domains in the wild. Do we think they're useless?
