Version 2 of my carrd site!

Thanks for all the feedback last time (OG thread here https://www.indiehackers.com/post/about-to-launch-my-first-course-heres-my-page-built-in-carrd-1acd3a4020?commentId=-MF66ppiVCJZ2e77iO8O)

I've now fully overhauled the site based on your feedback so here is version 2 and please let me know how to improve it more!

Wait a darn minute! Carrd can do this!? Wow I’ve been sleeping on Carrd for sure... time to go build! 💃

Also, it’s wayyy better than the first and I like the dark to light and the colour pallet, it all goes together so well! Information is there, value prop is clear and I’m thinking all that for $65 is a steal so yh you got this in the bag congrats and good luck on the official launch 🚀

Thanks so much Mia, really appreciate the feedback!!!

If you’re interested in the course for yourself or a friend, I just created a code for you that will give you $20 off as well. Should work for the next 48hrs “cw3ag12”

        That’s amazing!! Thank you ✨

Looks awesome ! Just 1 remark if I have to nitpick , try adding a custom thumbnail to the embedded video , the current pixelated view from YouTube doesn't do justice to rest of the page.

    1. 1

Ah really good point, I'll get on and do that now

Very good looking site considering it's all built in carrd - I honestly think your v1 wasn't terrible :) your v2 is better for sure, I would just tighten a little bit the font-size ration to white-space!
Additionally, you might need a little bit of testimonials here and there, and for some reason the thumbnail of your YT video is lowquality

one key thing that you've moved at the bottom but I would move at the very top:

Things you wil learn to use. Tools are everything in this world. Even if you have 0 creativity but you know how to use Photoshop you will end up building something. I would move this part at the top (at your discretion)

    Oh and yes, again, Testimonials!

      Thanks so much Jonass

    Cool man! Really awesome website

  5. 1

Site looks great - where are you marketing your site? and which platform will you use to distribute your online course?

    1. 1

I think I’m going to use Podia for the course itself. And the plan would be to partner with no code communities and give them affiliate links.

  6. 1

This looks good. (There is a typo, but you might already have noticed that.)
It might be better to add examples of successful products that use this process. (Does it work?)

    1. 1

Really love that idea! I’ll reach out to a few people who will be doing the course to see if they would be interested in sharing their work.

Which typo was this by the way? (I’m very dyslexic so often miss them!)

  7. 1

Dude this is crazy good looking. I've had a Carrd subscription and been sleeping on it. You should make a tutorial!

    1. 1

Yeah you’ve got to give it a go! And that’s a really good idea. If I was to do that, would you pay for it, or expect it to be free?

  8. 1

Way more easy on the eyes than the previous version. Nice job!

You are trying to solve a problem. But give them a reason as to why they should take this particular course. Have any testimonials? Use them as social proof. If not, mention the reasons explicitly in a new section on the landing page. Don't keep them in the video alone.

People scan the page first then they decide whether to spend more time on the page and watch the video.

    1. 1

I’m still wrapping the course at the moment, so no one has competed it for give feedback yet. But as soon as I have some social prof, I’ll put it straight on there!

      1. 1

You have some solid credentials (from what I heard from the video). Try putting them in a section on the landing page.

Just curious, do you do any consulting as to what no-code tech stack to use to start a startup or online business?

        1. 1

Yeah good call, I'll put those in.

And I don't do any consulting specifically about how to use no code stacks, but I do offer general consulting about building tech products. If you want to you can book some time here https://superpeer.com/rob
