Cool man! Do it. Think of decentralization & censorship-resistant too.

Yes just had the idea that a decentralized Clubhouse protocol needs to exist and found this page after a Google search. Federated networking isn’t my forté but I’m looking into it

For sure! Definitely a big part of the idea behind going open-source is that it allows you to deploy to your own trusted environment. And you can always look through the code if you think something fishy is happening behind the scenes.

Decentralizing communication infrastructure (plus encryption) seems like the only certain way around of the censorship/eavesdropping problem.

    Are you still developing this?

Haha! That's actually a fascinating idea. I could imagine these free-flowing audio rooms being useful for remote team collaboration.

We have a super basic proof-of-concept currently running at

If you have ideas for features or things we should add, I'd love to jam on ideas!

Ah that's a great idea, will do! We haven't really articulated the full product vision yet, so it will be smart to do that soon.

And if you're referring to http://upfordomain.com, this isn't actually my project. Tomas Slouka (@manyTomas) is working on that one! I just tweeted about it because it sounded awesome :)
