We are looking for beta testers to turn your menu into QRCode

Hey indiehackers,

We are from Barcelona, Spain one of the cities with most restaurants per person in Europe and a key part of our culture is social eating, we all love that.

We are working to help restaurants adapt to the new situation providing a technical solution to improve the menu experience for your customers.

We believe that having a website where customers can just open and order from, can bring a lot of value for restaurants from small to big. Putting effort on creating a menu that can be appealing and accessible would create an next generation experience for your customers.

We will transform your paper menu to a menuplate for free and we want your feedback, we have very good ideas on how to innovate in this space but we don't want our ideas to take for granted and want to know what could give you more value.

We saw many restaurants on our surroundings using QRCode, so we are providing both URL and QRCode for you to print it:

We will transform your paper menu to a menuplate for free. Providing both URL and QRCode for you to print it later on. We just want your feedback in return! We want to understand how to bring more value to you and keep innovating in this space.

Here's our webpage that explains a little better: https://menuplate.app

Hope you find this stuff interesting and can help us helping you!

Thanks for reading - menuplate team.

I doubt you'll find restaurant owners here.
What's the business model? once you've done the free trials how do you make money?
We have a similar offer, haven't started charging yet but I'd be interested in having a chat to compare notes :)

      Ye, just in case.

The business model is just a bunch of ideas on the air right now, we want to solidify our assumptions on what restaurants need.

      Happy to chat!

It's a great eco-friendly replacement for disposable paper menus, especially in the current pandemic. Concerns:

    1. Competition with food delivery services like DoorDash, which have full menus already.
    2. Other than convenience to the patron, what tangible business advantage(s) does menuplate provide?

If the user could submit their order to the kitchen via the digital menu, this could be a way to keep wait staff safer by minimizing their interaction with patrons. You could take it one step further by letting users pay+tip with cryptocurrency, as you are using QR codes.

Those features and many more are on our mind. Ordering from the phone it's a great idea. We were thinking to allow restaurant owners to run a/b test with their menu, allow customers to order before getting into the restaurant and a few other innovations.

      Thanks @boymeetsmini
