We worked super hard on our new landing page at Art in Res. Tear it apart (please)!

  1. 1

Damn I love this product so much!

Here is some of my feedback (just my opinion!)

    Homepage

    • There are too many competiting call-to-actions here (Read More 3x, How it works 2x, View the art, browze all art...etc), users should get ONE action to take.
    • I only understood what it was after I visited https://artinres.com/artworks (or scrolled down on the homepage). It's SO clear how it works once I see this, but it seems hidden. Put it first!
    • The profile pictures of the artists seems too large and the middle on is not aligned with the others.
    • The main value of your product is purchasing great art with a financing plan. As much as I love artists, they shouldn't be the star of your homepage, their ART (which you can buy!) should be.
    • The headline "Art should be affordable. Artists should get paid." is a good value statement, but it's not telling me what what action your product helps me take. Better example: "Buy amazing art directly from artists." and then they can find out later that they can finance it.
    • The "$1,200 or $55 for 24 months" is a PERFECT way to demonstrate that financing options are built in to your product directly, which is why this should be at the very top of the homepage! And you dont need to announce it, it's built right in to the examples.

    Navigation

    • The search icon should just be text, it was confusing
    • There seems to be 3 pieces of hierachy here: left section, logo, right section. It's a bit confusing. I would change this to a more standard layout: <Logo>...........<Dropdown with the rest of the options> | <Login><CreateAccount>

    How it works

    • the icon above "how it works" looks very generic/default, but that's just nitpicking.

    Articles

    • The layout here is a bit confusing at first, it's not immediately clear which is the newest article. I think you should make each post it's own line, but that's up to you.
    • the post pages look great

    Artist page

    • The profile pictures seem too large. The art should be the focus of an artist
    • The art "rows" are fantastic. So simply and clear.

    Art page

    • I like the prompt to create and account if I like a piece of art
    • The "buy now" buttons should be at the top, right below the art information
    • The artist should be at the bottom, rather than floating in the middle
